Boise Police Department: Update: Officers continue to search for shooting suspects, Three IDOC officers injured

Three Idaho Department of Correction officers were shot during an ambush while conducting an unscheduled medical transport of Skylar Meade IDOC #98812 to a local area hospital. Meade and his accomplice(s) are at large and a manhunt is underway. All three officers are stable. Boise Police Department is investigating.

Skylar Wade Mead is a 31 year-old white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. His criminal record includes convictions in Twin Falls County for Assault and Use of a Deadly Weapon in Commission of a Felony. He was parole eligible on 10/14/2026 with a full term release date of 10/13/2036. He has tattoos on his arms, chest, calf, abdomen and face.
